The largest walnut forest on the planet, Arslanbob is located only 50 km away from the city of Zhalal-Abad. The forest has an area of over 600 hectares and has more than 130 species of different trees. Besides walnut, there are also apple trees, pears, plums, cherries and many other. On top of that you can find lakes, waterfalls, mountains, and lakes here.
There is a legend saying that Alexander the Great saw the forests during his campaign to Fergana Valley and brought one of the walnut trees back home to Greece and this is how 'Greek walnuts' appeared.
