The season is almost here — in some days you will see more bikers in Bishkek with ski and snowboard shops turning into bike shops. In the anticipation of the official opening of the season coming Sunday, March 26, GO KG has prepared a bike shops guide with the most popular ones.
Probably the most popular bike shop in town. Ski and snowboards shop during winter season, this shop turns into bike shop like many other shops. GT, Giant and Author brands can be found in Gergert. The place sells bikes for kids too. Majority of the bikes are MTB. Gergert also sells spare parts, accessories and gear. You can also get your bike fixed here.
Do you know those small shops, where the owner himself greets you and helps you choose your first bike? This is the one. Oleg Iuganov, the owner is a well-known person among local bikers. The place sells different brands and types of bikes — from MTB to BMX. On top of buying spare parts, accessories and gear you can get your bike fixed in Velo Leader.

You can sometimes meet the owner of the shop, Alexander helping customers in Alex KG. The place is a ski and snowboard shop during wintertime and turns into a bike shop with spring. One of the few places in town selling Specialized brand bikes. Alex KG also offers spare parts, gear and accessories. The shop sells two types of bikes and bikes for kids too. Maintenance services are available as well.
Though the name is pretty obvious, this shop is unique. First, it's perhaps the only only bike shop and second, this is the only shop to sell fixed gear bikes. YHC, Bikes, PureFix, Colossi and Cinelli are among the brands Bike Shop offers. The offer is limited only to adult and maintenance services are provided only for the bikes bought in Bike Shop.

The name says for itself — this is the only shop to sell K2 bikes. This place too turns into a bike shop with spring and is a ski and snowboards during winter. The maintenance is limited only to the bikes bought at K2. You will also find accessories, gear and spare parts here.
This shop is just across the road from K2 and belongs to the same owner. And it's almost the same except two things — it offers a wide range of gear for alpinists and sells only KONA bikes. Apart from that it's similar — spare parts, gear, accessories and limited maintenance.
A small shop in the central part of the city, which is convenient if you need to get your bike fixed it accepts all bikes. The shop also sells accessories, gear and spare parts. The bikes choice includes GIANT, GT and Author brands.
